    Description

This listing is for a used vintage Cordovox A-210-M accordion from the 1970s.
The accordion is in fine shape cosmetically and acoustically, and plays great on all registers, keys and buttons. It was made by Excelsior in Italy and also includes the musette tuning option. I bought it a couple of years ago and, since I now have two of them, I decided it's time to sell one.
Many sellers list this instrument under different circumstances than me, such as when a relative passes away, which is a perfectly understandable reason. That, of course, presents the challenge of not knowing for sure how well it works. However, unlike those other sellers, I am a Cordovox player myself, I
    DO
know how this instrument is supposed to play, and it
    DOES
    work acoustically and
    mostly
electronically. I have posted a recent demo video of me playing this exact Cordovox at the following link:
    https://youtu.be/gypzJ4g4GTo
Now, by saying that this instrument "mostly" works electronically, I am referring to a couple of minor issues which is not unusual with any vintage instrument. The Percussion function does not seem to work, but it may just need a voltage trimmer adjusted on the percussion board. And I never tried the EBO bellows-controlled volume function. Neither of these are important to me and I do not use them. Also the organ chord volume knob is a little touchy due to its age. And of course the power supply has a little of the characteristic 60 Hz hum that almost every electronic instrument from that era had. There could be other small electronic issues that I have not discovered but it has played fine for me including at the time of making the recent demo video.
Be advised that this series of Cordovox did NOT have its own amplifier and the organ circuits are built into the accordion. It provides line level organ and bass/chord outputs at the foot pedal that are to be connected to your own mixer and amp. I play the keyboard output to one channel and the optional bass/chord output to a 2nd channel on my mixer so I can adjust each side independently, which is pretty handy. It is all then fed to my guitar amp and also routed to a Leslie speaker, just like in the old days.
This auction includes the exact items shown in the pictures: the Cordovox A-210 accordion with hard case, the power supply/volume pedal, a set of the electronic schematics and a replacement connector for the main cable. The end connector has come apart on every single main cable for the A-210 that I have ever seen. I bought the included replacement Plessey/Jones connector set from a UK seller but I hadn't installed it yet since the current one was still working.
    It is sold
    AS IS
with no warranty or returns just like almost all other vintage equipment.
I will ship everything well packed and boxed via USPS Priority Mail with insurance and tracking. The accordion will be wrapped in towels inside its case and put in a styrofoam-lined box. Because of the weight, shipping the accordion is expensive as shown in the auction details but that is how both of mine were sent to me from the midwest on the mainland, and USPS has done a great job transporting things to and from the islands. The accordion straps, schematics, cable connector set and power supply/volume pedal will be sent in a separate flat rate Priority Mail box. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
PLEASE NOTE: I only ship to the US and only to the confirmed eBay street address. I reserve the right to cancel any auction that contains an error in the listing or price. I also reserve the right to cancel any bids from bidders with zero feedback or negative cumulative feedback.
