In the season 2010 Shimano introduces the Shadow shifting technology also for Deore derailleurs. The low profile design is intended for more aggressive riding.
The derailleur will not contact the chain stays, thus it's super quiet. The super low profile design carries many benefits. It performs smoothly and silently under all conditions and it offers improved durability.
The low profiles design saves the RD from damage in narrow passages. Direct routing reduces the risk of snagging. A stronger return spring results in a more crisp shifting feeling. Straight pull shifting cable operation.
9-speed rear derailleur - designed for Rapidfire and compatible shifters.
