    About This Listing
Although Gordy's Music specializes in vintage guitar and amplifier gear, I have
sold hundreds of accordions and vintage synthesizers over the past 4 decades.
I was raised on the accordion and classically trained for 10 years at the age of 5 by my late father Ben Lupo.
My dad was a professional accordion-keyboard player for 73 years from the age of 13 and I have
on my wall here at the shop here his 70 year member plaque from the Detroit Local 5 Federation of Musicians Union as well as several plaque trophies earned from the 3 all accordion bands he led in competions back then that I participated in as a kid.
I miss my father and he taught me accordions. Raised on spaggetti and the accordion yep!
So here we have a gorgeous accordion I am guessing was made back in the 1930's as it looks alot like one I just sold from 1939.  This one belonged to the Grandfather of this family whereas the Lira Super I just listed here on Reverb belonged to the Father.  The right hand works just fine and the bellows are nice and tight but the bass side keys all stick and it would cost too much for the family to repair it.  It would not be cost effective for them.  So we are selling it 'as is' hoping to find a repair person or someone who can rebuild accordions to take it on as a labor of love.  The right hand works fine and sounds very good.
    Accordion weighs 16 1/2 lbs.
    Shipping weight 24 lbs.
    Shipping box is 12x24x22"
